I earned a Master of Arts degree in Education, Option in Educational Psychology from California State University, Long Beach where I studied the validity and effectiveness of educational assessments. I received advanced training in psychometrics, statistics, research methods, as well as program evaluation.

I have managed an education program to assist youth (age 14-21) in foster care reach their educational goals. I provided expertise for planning, developing and sustaining education strategies aimed at increasing the persistence, success, and retention of low achieving students. Additional responsibilities included creating individual learning plans, developing data collection instruments (e.g., assessment measures, surveys, interviews, and observation protocols); managing community partnerships; and developing wraparound services that foster student achievement.
As Data Analyst for one of the largest non-profits in Los Angeles, I managed the organization’s data analysis efforts and ensured that student data was accurately captured and tracked. Primary responsibilities included evaluating programs, responding to data requests, writing survey items and conducing comprehensive data analysis. In addition, I assisted with the planning and conceptualization of statewide initiatives such as Race to the Top – Early Childhood Education.
I served as National Data Manager for a nationally recognized competency based education program. In this role, I collected, analyzed, and communicated meaningful national, regional, and school-level statistics. In addition, designed surveys, developed a comprehensive evaluation tool to measure program fidelity.
