Two is better than one, and the world of translations is no exception.
Our native understandings of our respective languages and subsequent academic studies have enabled the two of us to produce translations which are perfectly nuanced and read with ease. By utilizing our combined efforts you are effectually hiring both a translator and proofreader. Two sets of eyes are better than one!
We aim to provide our clients with translations which are easily understood by the intended audience, while carrying the full meaning of your original text. Basically, we want our works to be so perfectly composed that readers of the translated text would be surprised to discover that what they were reading was originally penned in another language.
We have over five years of combined translating experience, with our most recent projects including the transcription and translation of raw footage for a korean language documentary, a scientific textbook series, and product descriptions.
We are currently based in Seoul, South Korea. Please contact us with any additional questions.
Hyunil Kang, a Korean national, has been a student of US english grammar and composition for over fifteen years. Having acquired the english language through rigorous and deliberate study, rather than casual immersion, he has emerged an expert in the mechanics of written english. He is currently pursuing a degree in English literature.
American born Shelbie Kang (nee Staley) was raised a native, monolingual english speaker. Shelbie attended New York University and has recently completed a two-year intensive Korean language program at Yonsei University's Korean Language Institute. Her understanding of the Korean language is both colloquial and exact, while her native english ability leaves her with a full comprehension of the language's many nuances and subtleties. She plans to begin working towards a specialized degree in International Peace and Security this fall.
