    Programmer / Developer

I'm awful at selling myself, it gave me a headache just to write this text. Someone called me a superstar, when I passed the screening process for a Python developer position, to this day I still laugh about it. No, I'm not bad by any means, I'm probably better than average, but I'm certainly not Guido or Armin Rigo. My skills and experiences, I have a wide range of those, from your typical web development to computer vision and genetic algorithms in context of game development, but most of it is on the jack of all trades level, definitely not an expert. I suppose my forte is Python backend development, but I've done frontend work as well (AngularJS). I'm currently trying to get into MEAN stack, since it seems to be popular nowadays. As for workflow and methodologies, I double check my commits and try to write the code as clean as possible, I follow TDD when possible, and prefer an uncluttered text editor and terminal tools as my IDE.

    web development / net presence

    Australia - Tests: 2 - Portfolio: 4

After graduating in computing, I spent a year developing interfaces and APIs for financial transaction devices in Windows before moving into an area that had more appeal for me : system level communications and messaging, largely focused on a C++ / Unix / Oracle platform. I spent six years mostly juggling messages and communication channels between databases and queues. But I got tired of living in big cities, and hatched an escape plan. I started doing short term contracts for web projects using a range of scripting languages at the server, and AJAX in the browserI began with various short term contracts for web interface development using content management systems and frameworks including Drupal, Django and Node, programming in languages including PHP, Python and Javascript/Coffeescript. I've moved on to building web apps with rich client side frameworks, often with a full javascript stack including mongodb.

Hi, my name is Kyrylo, and I'm oDesk Verified Mobile Applications Developer. I mainly focus on iOS development with Rubymotion, but also can work with Objective-C and Swift. Since almost every mobile project needs a server to store data or authenticate users, I also have a lot of web-development experience, including back-end development (Node.js, Ruby on Rails) and front-end development (Angular.js, Ember.js). Lately I was working on a wide range of projects, from social apps to business apps with huge databases, and from small utility apps, to games. I was working on applications like PackPoint or TradeGecko that were mentioned by TechCrunch, Lifehacker, TheNextWeb, 9to5Mac, Washington Post, L.A. Times and others. Some other apps were featured in App Store, others have 60k+ monthly users.

B.Sc; ZCE; 15Y veteran PHP4/5, Zend Framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

    Canada - Tests: 4

Over my 15 years as a computer programmer I've seen it all; from my early days tinkering with PHP/FI right up to the present-day modernity of PHP5.6, two things have been a constant in my career: a dedication to the art of PHP and to the unending enjoyment of programming that accompanies it. Along my winding PHP journey I've picked up a broad base of skills, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, LAMP server administration, database design, object-oriented design theory, and various SCM/version control systems just to name a few. I've also contributed code, documentation and/or discussion to a number of open-source projects in recent years, primarily within the Zend Framework ecosystem. Despite my love of PHP I am more than just a one-trick pony. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland, with minor concentrations in Mathematics and Economics. My non-PHP skills include some proficency in C#.NET, web-based mobile development (jQmobile, Sencha Touch), NodeJS, Atmel microprocessors, and Java (the subject of my B.Sc work) I am a full-service contractor who will guide you through every stage of your project's evolution, from planning to implementation to deployment and ongoing maintenance. My passion is pulling together my broad-based experience to assist clients in using technology to break down obstacles and help them realize their goals, and make some money while i'm at it ;) My communication channels are always open so if you're interested in chatting with me about a project you've been bouncing around feel free to drop me a message anytime!
