Photography, Photo Retouch & Manipulation & Restoration,Graphic Design

    Romania - Last active: 2 days ago - Tests: 2 - Portfolio: 11

Hi! I am a photographer and a self taught retoucher. I graduated the cinematography academy from Bucharest, but I am passionate about photography. I mainly take product, fashion and travel photos, I can retouch, manipulate and restore images, process raw files, batch edit, remove backgrounds professionally, I can make various designs, such as posters, brochures, flyers, etc. I also took make-up lessons during college, and I believe that basic make-up knowledge is essential for retouching portraits. Quality retouching should look like flawless make-up, especially in beauty shots. Here are some of the clients that I currently work with via oDesk: -Restoring old photographs for www.vividrecollection.com -Editing weddings (RAW images processing and retouch) for www.amyannphoto.com -Retouching fashion and beauty images for www.khairmax.com -Photographing and retouching products (work in progress) for www.monellina.it Here are some links to my photography portfolios: - www.behance.net/Auguria - www.yourshot.nationalgeographic.com/profile/432153/ - www.facebook.com/AuguriaPhotography - www.500px.com/ElenaAuguria My gears are a MacBook Pro, Wacom Intuos graphic tablet, a Nikon D7100 and a light tent. I use Photoshop CS6. Lightroom 5 too, but not as much as Photoshop. Every image that I edit gets the same treatment as my own images: care, respect and attention. Being a photographer also (since 2009),I will get the best out of your photos. I can also follow exact instructions whenever the case. I am eager for new challenges and I am also a fast learner. The contractors from oDesk certainly offered me some big challenges which I successfully overcame. I like to keep a close contact with the contractors. Immersing myself in the project and having a strong understanding of it, helps the quality of the result. A mention that I have to make about my work flow is that I always review my work. If it happens that I send the work before getting to review it due to the deadline and if I happen to find things to adjust, I will send again the corrected images after discussing the matter with the client. There may not be corrections that the clients need, but correction that mark my work as an editor, and of course, corrections that raise the quality of the image. I'm saying all this because I strongly believe in an honest relation with the client and in delivering irreproachable services. I participated in 3 small photography exhibitions, and another one is expected within this year (2013). I taught photojournalism for high-school students within a special program initiated by Active Watch (the media monitoring agency in Romania). I got some pictures published in the "Jurnalul National" and "Cotidianul" newspapers and others smaller publications. I also created posters for few events. As a previous job, before becoming a freelancer, I worked at a well known luxury fashion store (www.fashionvictim.ro) where I retouched the photos, wrote small fashion articles, advertised their products (image collages and such) and managed their Facebook page. I am also an entertainer, and I hope I'm not known just because I am a girl (and not a boy) who makes jokes :)) (www.facebook.com/EAPunsPics - most of the jokes are in my native language) Thank you for your time!

    Travel Photography/Photography Writing/Photo Retouching

India - Last active: 8 days ago - Tests: 7

Hello! I've been photographing for about five years now. From nature and landscape photography to street photography, my photographic interests have varied with time. Travel photography encompasses everything that photography means to me. I love traveling to new places and photographing the culture and people that define the place and make it unique. I also like writing about photography as much as I enjoy reading about it. I've written photography articles for Light Stalking as a regular contributor in the past. In my free time, I like retouching photos in Photoshop - playing with curves being my favorite pastime. You can see my portfolio on my website - http://www.riteshsaini.com/Portfolio/ You can also see my photography on Flickr - https://www.flickr.com/photos/riteshsaini/

    XHTML/CSS/Flash/Photoshop/Illustrator Pro in Seattle, USA

    United States - Last active: 5 days ago - Tests: 17 - Portfolio: 7

Over the last several years I have developed many websites using a variety of methods. I enjoy the flexibility that CSS/XHTML provides, so that is my medium of choice - all of my work is standards-compliant (XHTML 1.0 strict), and I have also converted many outdated sites into standards-compliant sites with table-free CSS layouts and improved functionality, leading to a better overall user experience. In addition to web coding, I have extensive experience in photography and traditional graphic design. My goal is always to produce sites that are as visually appealing as they are functional. I also have experience working with ColdFusion, Flash, PHP, JavaSript, and related technologies, and can convert PSD files into themes for Wordpress, Joomla, osCommerce, and similar formats, with great attention to detail and retention of full functionality. I believe in keeping 'the big picture' in mind - I incorporate SEO techniques into every project, and plan projects to allow for future expansion and updates.

Web designer and developer specializing in WordPress.

    United States - Last active: 1 month ago - Tests: 16 - Portfolio: 19

I have a wide variety of multimedia skills from video and audio editing to logo design and photo editing. My primary focus is on front-end web design for small businesses. My platform of choice is WordPress due to it flexibility and popularity. I can build just about any style website with a custom WordPress theme. I tend to choose projects that I'm interested in. It's important to me to create things I'm proud of. I try to be clear in my communications and I try to work closely with my clients to create something that the feel fits them well. I am not the cheapest option on oDesk. There are people in the world willing to work for nearly free just to get a start. Their skill level often match I will never be the low bidder on a job. I just apply my going rate and work to create something my clients with be happy with. I do this for a living. I'm not a "rock star", "ninja" or "guru". I'm a designer. This is a jobs that requires experience, honesty, insight, skill and good communication to do properly. Some advise if you don't hire me.. There are good and bad ways to do things even if the result is the same. The two biggest mistakes I would warn anyone about is modifying a theme that will be updated (and wipe out the changes) and working on a live server. I code on my home workstation, demonstrate on my staging server.. then publish to the live server(your actual website) when everything is working properly! Don't let any developer work on your live site. You don't want your customers seeing a server error.
