Russia - Last active: 11 days ago - Tests: 11

I'm experienced DevOps engineer with more than 3 years of working with different CI/CD and automation tools, including but not limiting to Jenkins, TravisCI, CircleCI, Bamboo, TeamCity, ansible, saltstack, chef, fabric, capistrano and vagrant. I've worked with several SaaS, IaaS and PaaS public and private platforms including Heroku, AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean, OpenNebula and Eucalyptus. I've deployed, configured and used several monitoring systems & performance testing tools including Zabbix, Graphite, AWS CloudWatch, Apache JMeter and grinder. I have written deployment automation for dozens of projects which are successfully running in production. For the most of the projects I had to define, document and implement development policies, VCS branching model, existing and possible environments and deployment policies. For several project I've written deployment scripts to automate complex deployments (usually consisted of more than 5 components) on development environment using ansible & Vagrant.

Software engineer (C/C++, obj-c, Python, Matlab, R, ML algorithms)

    Belarus - Last active: 3 months ago - Tests: 7 - Portfolio: 5

The last 5 years I have worked mostly as a C and C++ developer in a field of process automation and control (SCADA). Familiar with OOP and TDD, Design Patterns and different methods of software development (waterfall, agile). I have a good experience in the development of multithread client-server applications, windows services, dll-s and cross-platform libraries. One of the specific features of my job was writing readable and easy-portable C-code covered with tests.Another interesting feature is working in small groups dealing with frequently changing goals. The major benefit of this style of work is a great experience on all levels of software development process (from project design and requirement development to final tests). Besides, I have a great interest in the research of new technologies and IT science related fields.

    UNIX guru

    Russia - Last active: 2 days ago - Tests: 4 - Portfolio: 1

First thing off: I DON'T USE SKYPE nor ICQ (as they are proprietary closed protocols), but I have jabber. 20 years of experience with almost every flavour of industrial unixen, portable programming (C-99, POSIX, autotools), portable shell programming (POSIX.2) — dealt with many subtleties in different implementations. I work fast, if in doubt, ask for the estimate time. Probably it'll be cheaper than hiring someone with lower rate, but who'll spend several times more hours. I'm honest, reliable and tenacious. If I apply, that means that I'm 100% sure I can do the job meeting my high quality standards. The code must “just work”, elegant and concise. There's too much non-working, ugly and bloated stuff around:( Lifetime warranty for my work (doesn't include new features though). • Automating everything • UNIX system programming including embedded systems • Web scraping and any other text transformations/extractions. • Consulting about UNIX shell scripting (bourne shell, bash, awk, sed, [BE]RE etc). • Anyway, the list is not full, as I have experience ranging from Jenkins CI setups and maintenance to writing parsers with lex/yacc. From IP traffic handling in C++ (libnetfilter_queue plus iptables custom kernel module) to product installers. I use Gentoo and EMACS. PS. oDesk thinks my photo isn't “professional”. Therefore I have none. I'm easily googlable though, and if you want you can find any information about me outside of oDesk. PPS. Aquila non captat muscas. Normally.
