If you're looking for the cheapest - someone who'll cut corners to save a few minutes' work - you'd better look elsewhere. Types of systems I've been working on (most were covered by NDAs): - ERP systems (for a production line in a factory) - advertising platforms (using AdWords and AdSense) - banking systems ( I learned a lot about accountancy, security and encryption) - MLM platforms - social networks - meta-data distribution platforms - gamification platforms

    Zambia - Last active: 01/13/2014 - Tests: 14 - Portfolio: 9

I started programming at 10 years of age. Since then, I've learned more than 10 programming languages and written more programs than I can count, including desktop applications, web applications, games, utilities, and even some embedded systems (using C/assembly). Currently, my primary language is Ruby, but I'm also very familiar with Java, C, SQL (MySQL and Postgres dialects), Clojure, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, and Common Lisp. You can see some samples of my code at "http://www.github.com/alexdowad/showcase". You can also see programming-related questions which I have answered at "http://stackoverflow.com/users/960828/alex-d".

Over the last ten years, I have been developing and deploying C, Java applications and Android apps since its arrival, participated in projects with different application models and tools. I’m accomplished Telecommunications Engineer in Wireless Communications with M.S. in Telecommunications Engineering. I have a broad knowledge in GSM, CDMA, BLE, RFID, NFC, WiMax, LTE and many other wireless technologies. That’s why I’m interested in cryptography, mathematics and physics. I believe that "software is eating the World" and think that DSP, SDR, SDN, CR concepts will absolutely prevail in the future. I like science, engineering and industrial design. I believe in OSS and OSHW and truly support those movements whether I can.

    Django websites, scientific programming, writing.

United States - Last active: 20 days ago - Tests: 1

I enjoy creating content-driven websites using Python, Django, and Postgres. A recent example of my range of skills is the Arlington Planetarium website (friendsoftheplanetarium.org), where I programmed the backend, created the design and frontend, wrote much of the content, and administer the Linux server on which it's hosted. I am an effective writer, having authored a book on computer graphics and many popular science and tech articles. I also have extensive experience with large-scale scientific computing on multi-processor supercomputers, and data analysis and visualization using Python. I'm interested in doing more work with Clojure and ClojureScript, but I'm still a beginner here. I prefer to contract to complete projects, rather than work by the hour. I want to feel free to wake up in the middle of the night with a great idea about how to make your product better without worrying about billing you for time. Please don't bring me simple jobs that someone else could do. Get in touch when you need a perfectionist with a wide range of knowledge, especially if your project could benefit from the involvement of a scientist.
