Senior Full Stack Web Developer, 14 years

Hi! I have 14 years of professional experience as a full stack web developer, from project conception, application design, backend database design and maintenance, server side coding, to front end design and development. I am perfectly happy in any area of development, but I love front end coding the most. I am adaptable, easy going, communicative, and I learn fast and love to do so. I have worked with major as well as small companies. I am knowledgeable in Agile, SCRUM, and waterfall development cycles.
For example, at my last company that I held a full time position with, Market America, I set out to learn their database system, UniVerse and PICK, in my spare time. This database system is very different from relational database systems like SQL Server and MySQL. UniVerse has only a command line to communicate with it to view programs and data, search records and programs, and view source control information. I learned it in a short time, combining it with my front end knowledge to create a new application that would allow users to drill down through programs and database files from the front end, search by keyword and database & program names, quickly find out the impact analysis of modifying any given program or file, and quickly find and view error codes. No more having to use the command line! The tool was later released to all of the software engineers in order to help quicken their development and problem solving efforts.
I look forward to speaking with and working with you! You must be organized and either have detailed requirements ready, or be willing to work with me to get those done, whether at the beginning of the project or handled in sprints as common with SCRUM. That saves both you and the contractor time and headache, no matter who it is you work with. :) Ultimately, it improves your bottom line. Note that I don't expect everything to be all planned out from the start and I love to bring ideas to the table, but we should have a good idea of goals and expectations before beginning work. Also, at this time, I need to decline projects that were due like last week. ;)
