The service industry SANDWICH: When it comes to the ever changing environment of the service industry you must learn to adapt to drastically different clientele, from one minute to the next. Not to mention doing this while under the extreme pressure of good service at high-volume and juggling your personality from "therapist" to "car salesmen". You must please both the clientele and your bosses, simultaneously. Now, try doing this while training someone who has ZERO experience, as I did, as a trainer at Pluckers. You must add an explanation for everything you do. You must do everything 100% perfectly, step by step. You must move yourself AND your trainee quickly and still present the information in a way that sticks. CHALLENGING, to say the least and I was very good at it. I also have management experience working as a bartender/manager at Obrien's Irish pub. This put me in charge of an entire bar/restaurant, by my self, for at least 8 hours at a time. This means managing any staff working on my shift, tending bar, handling any complaints over the phone or in person, transactions for myself and staff and opening and closing up, alone.
