After four years in the United States Navy as a intelligence reporter, I decided to put my family first and separated from active duty. I am currently pursuing my Associates in Psychology at Butte Community College, and will transfer to Chico State University upon completion. I would like to be able to work from home and be able to spend more time with my son.
I decided when I was in 3rd grade that wanted to be a writer. I have been working to achieve this goal. While in the Navy, I learned how much I loved being able to write for work, and decided that was what I wanted to do after I had separated. I worked hard to become the best reporter I could. I received a Joint-Service Achievement Medal for my work.
I prefer article writing, or anything else that includes research. I love learning new things, especially when I can write about it! I also enjoy creative writing, speech writing, blogging, copywriting, editing/proofreading, and ebook writing.
Being in the Navy, I was required to give briefs to my supervisors, teammates, and sometimes even high ranking personnel at my command. I had to write out and present the material to a member of my officer prior to any big briefs that were to be given to ensure they were suitable for the audience.
Additionally, as I was the senior reporter in my office, I was often requested to proofread my coworkers work before it was submitted to our leadership.
