Tom S. Johnson has experience as a copyeditor, developmental editor, line editor, photo editor, project editor, ghostwriter, proofreader, researcher and fact checker. He's edited and/or written fiction, nonfiction, science fiction, plays, teleplays, video scripts, concert scripts, web content, blog articles, feature articles, recaps, previews, comic strips and comic books.
Tom has edited three books. Recently, he finished editing African Dance with Passion by Kukuwa Nuamah, which is being published by Cognella. Tom studied editing with Jacqueline Landis and playwriting with Jon Jory and Michael Dixon.
Tom's plays have been produced in the New York International Fringe Festival, at Where Eagles Dare Theatre in Midtown Manhattan and at Actors Theatre of Louisville. As a playwright, his job has been to listen to other people's voices and create characters that are true to those voices. As an editor, Tom will be sensitive to your needs as a fellow writer and strive to maintain your voice throughout your work.
