Electrical Engineer, Researcher, Technical Writer
I am an electrical engineer with a master's in mathematics, specialist in communications and signal processing.
My core competencies are statistical analysis (time series analysis, hypothesis testing, decision systems), mathematical modeling, and optimization in engineering, finance, and science contexts.
During the last 8 years I have performed research in several applied topics, where I have had the chance to work in teams, leading students, and collaborating with colleagues.
In addition, during the last 5 years I created several university courses for students in undergraduate and graduate school. This experience has allowed me to develop skills for organizing complex material in the form of lectures, designing evaluations, and supervising work of others.
I am fluent in English and Spanish, and have training in the following topics: applied probability (modeling), statistics, statistical learning (machine learning), optimization, electronics, signal processing, and digital communications. In addition, I am familiar with electromagnetics, mechanics, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, real analysis, measure theory, abstract algebra, control theory, computer security, and networks.
I can prepare technical documents (internal reports, research papers, survey articles), and I am proficient in the following software packages:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
- Apple's iWork (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote)
- Latex typesetting
- HTML, CSS,Wordpress
- Camtasia, Screenflow
- Matlab, Mathematica
