You're looking for results - as there is a LOT of bad Agile and Scrum out there. When looking for a great Agile coach, ask the following questions: -How often do you actually deploy to production (we deploy every two weeks on the night the sprint ends! We've done this for years now.) -How many teams have you successfully started up? (I've started up 5) -How long have you been a Scrum Master (I've been one for over 5 years on multiple teams) -Have you ever been coached or consulted by outside Agile coaches? (For 2012, we completed 95.5% of what we committed to!) -What percentage of production bug fixes were made (For 2012, we only spent 1.2% of sprint points for production bugs, achieving very high quality). What you'll get with me: Instead of taking a consultant approach and saying how you need to improve x, y, z, I take a coaching approach where I find out your situation and context, and work with you and your team(s) to come up with changes they buy into and want to make. Now, about the Lean IdeaLab: We achieved some amazing results in just the first 4 sprints (total of 8 weeks): -4 MVP’s - Created 4 Minimum Viable Products (MVP’s), including our first mobile app -User Advisory Panel – We sent out a survey and later received over 850 responses to join our panel -Lean IdeaJam - Organized our first off-site IdeaJam session with 10 cross-departmental employees -Companywide Presentation and Survey of MVP’s and future Plans and Ideas – Why we waited until we had 3 MVP’s to show the company before we announced the IdeaLab team and sent an internal survey -Culture Change – We quickly began changing the culture by showing how people’s ideas are quickly turned into MVP’s and how our simple process for evaluating ideas means every idea gets a fair shot Unlike other coaches and consultants, I will share with you the exact documents I used, the key expectations we set for the team, the survey questions, etc., so you can quickly modify and set up a Lean IdeaLab.
