Senior Publicist and Consultant
Last active: 18 days ago
I have been a sought-after publicist at an independent firm for 15 years and have launched and developed the careers of groundbreaking artists such as The Strokes and Regina Spektor. As my career has evolved I have been successful at leveraging my experiences to embark on bolder and more creative projects. I pride myself on identifying opportunities, and my curiosity and work ethic has led to an impressively diverse portfolio.
My current clients include Charlotte’s Web, a therapeutic hemp product shown to relieve the effects of intractable seizure disorders in children. I’ve worked with 60 Minutes, TIME Magazine, National Geographic and the like.
For the past three years, I have worked closely with Japan on various projects that include consulting with international advertising firm Dentsu Inc. on the behalf of the Japanese government policy, “Japan’s Gross National Cool.” I also represent Japanese software company, Crypton Future Media, and facilitated the U.S. introduction of the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku. In October 2014, I made television history by booking a performance of the Miku technology on David Letterman.
Since 2002, I have been one of the two team leaders in charge of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival press department. I manage a team of ten publicists, direct the movements of 400+ media outlets and responsible for feeding relevant event information to the public and the festival’s 90,000 attendees during the four-day festival.
In 2013, I used my music industry contacts to develop and sell creative spring and summer experiential campaigns to the Sperry Top-Sider shoe company.
Meanwhile, I've been hard at work for 7 years reconnecting the Backstreet Boys to millions of fans through creative campaigns that used smart and balanced editorial and TV appearances.
I can confidently say that people are hiring me for my ability to think flexibly and creatively. It also shows that regardless of the client – music, lifestyle, corporate, health – I can create a talked-about national campaign with top tier media (print, television and online.)
Productive and long-term working relationships with NPR, CBS Sunday Morning, Rolling Stone, New York Times, TIME, Entertainment Weekly, Good Morning America, TODAY Show, People Magazine, Forbes, The Tonight Show, Ellen DeGeneres, Vanity Fair, Associated Press, Dateline, Esquire, Elle, CNN, Nylon, Teen Vogue, MSNBC, Fox News, Fast Company, Saturday Night Live and more.
