A work-at-home mom, I am looking to expand my family's income through taking assignments I can easily work into my daily routine. I have more than 25 years of experience in writing for publication, including features, blogs, interviews, news articles, copywriting, and newsletters. In addition, I have decades of experience as an editor, including editing Wild Violet online literary magazine (founded in 2001), serving as assistant editor for a traditional print newspaper (circulation approx. 6,000), and editing the annual program guide for one of the largest anime conventions in the United States, Otakon, which attracts 25,000-30,000 people. For several years, I've written nearly 400 articles for the Yahoo! Contributor Network on a range of topics, including entertainment, self-help, writing, parenting, features and politics. For six years, I've worked in the Press Relations department of Otakon, including two years as the head of Press Relations. This job entailed writing press releases and handling promotional materials for the convention, as well as serving as a liaison between the press, Otakon staff and Otakon's official guests.
