Public and Media Relations Bulldog
I have more than 12 years of experience concentrating on outreach, placements and public relations.
My primary skills relate to media relations, public relations. marketing communications and news writing. This gives my clients an opportunity to promote their messages, programs, event and key executives to various audiences. In many cases, that means reaching out to targeted groups with a message that encourages them to respond or act.
One on-going project involves former New England Patriots All-Pro Running Back Tony Collins. He authored the book, “Broken Road: Turning My Mess into a Message” that chronicles his life from growing up in rural New York, his rise to the NFL, and the “bad choices” he made that derailed his career and nearly ended his life and how he changed his ways.
Since working with Tony, I scored numerous radio, print, and TV interviews for him and his book. I am also booking him to speak with area youth organizations and high schools in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. This spring, Tony spoke with groups in Wareham (MA), Pawtucket (RI) and Cumberland (RI). He met with high schools in Bourne (MA) Wareham (MA), West Warwick (RI), Johnston (RI) and Middletown (RI). Tony will be appearing in Randolph (MA) later this month as well as events in Westwood (MA), Plainville (CT) and Woonsocket (RI) in September. There are more events being scheduled this summer and fall.
Another project I am working on is the Steven K. Latimer Memorial Foundation. They are running a 5K Race in Providence in September for which I am promoting for them. Thus far, I secured several articles in daily, weekly and trade publications as well as a radio interview. i also arranged meetings between the Foundation director and community members in order to obtain corporate sponsors and more race participants.
For both projects, I have also maintained a social media presence that has helped spread the word about their respective events. this helps keep them in the minds of readers an followers of these projects.
