    Programmer, entrepeneur and teacher

    Brazil - Last active: 03/31/2014 - Tests: 2

I'm 25 years old, I'm brazilian, a programmer, entrepeneur. I started programming in 2000, when I was 12, using RPG Maker and didn't stop since then. I studied Information Technology in a technical high school and graduated in Information Systems in college, 3 years ago. Outside the "formal" curriculum, it's important to say that I'm a pretty good learner and I'm self-motivated, always studying what I don't know in order to learn how to do it. After working for several brazilian companies, mainly programming desktop applications (VB 6,, C#, even Delphi), scripts (Python, Ruby), macros (VBA) and backend websites (PHP, ASP), and consulting for small and large companies like Petrobras, I decided to open my own business. Together with two friends, I founded, a mix of e-commerce and "deal-of-the-day" site for modern brazilian women. I started learning Ruby on Rails a little before starting to build this website so I decided to stick with it and develop this site from the ground up using RoR, so I could learn it better in a "real-life" scenario. That's what I did and, although we aren't big yet, I could deliver a great, pragmatic and functional e-store, writing code all by myself - although the layout was made by the other founder and the public open source gems made my day many times, and I'm very, very grateful to them. Currently I'm the CTO of this site, but as its team is very small (just the original founders), it means I'm also the photographer, videographer and voiceover talent. If you're looking for someone who's passionate about getting things done, with pragmatism and honesty, I may be that guy. If you're looking for someone to do all of that with a happy face and also bringing creative thinking and an excellent mood to your team, I surely am that guy ;)
