My goal is to help my clients turn their ideas into the images they need. I take my work seriously: Your project is my project. I'm sort of a renaissance man, one who has studied both sciences and arts. As a professional artist, with broad knowledge in several kinds of media, I've been able to work on diverse projects with both large companies and small entrepreneurs.
I started my career as a traditional media illustrator in 1995, but soon after turned to graphic arts and design, broadening my scope with digital imaging and mixing the best of both worlds. Shortly after, I began to work as a freelance multimedia content creator and got started in motion graphics and 3D animation. That knowledge led me to teach advanced classes at an Adobe authorized institute in Costa Rica. Later in 2001 I got recruited by Jotabequ GREY, one of the most important advertising firms of my country and worked for Corte A/, their TV and filmmaking branch. After a successful career creating all kinds of visual products for many of their clients, I became Art Director, Concept Designer and Story Artist, working with Jotabequ and their new subsidiary for postproduction: Postdata. In 2011, I switched to broadcast television as on-air graphics and animation supervisor at Costa Rica's newcomer Channel 9, an intense period of almost 24/7 projects. I left the network in 2012 to join Father Communication Group, as Design Team Leader for a transition period, where I took care of their most important advertising account which required special attention at that time.
Nowadays, I decided to follow my dreams and make a career out of them, I have started my personal studio as a freelance specialist, looking for high quality Illustration projects to focus my experience towards engaging storytelling images. Currently I draw and paint comic books, concept art and high impact images for covers or posters. I love my work.
