Having attended the courses of the Computer Sciences Faculty within the Bucharest Polytechnic University, my first jobs were in IT: full time for UMT - a Romanian company that was acquired by Microsoft - and Vodafone Romania, then as a subcontractor for Vodafone Hungary and SFR (French Vodafone). I decided the latter was my last job in IT, and since my command of the English language was very good, I started teaching, then translating, interpreting, and occasionally writing. My previous experience as a programmer and automated testing expert taught me the importance of dead lines, and the knowledge acquired while studying for the Cambridge test (I got an A on my CAE), as well as the hands on experience later on meant I got better contracts, some of them extremely exciting (like the collaboration with a lifestyle magazine - The Art of Living). Some of the articles I wrote (concert reviews mostly, though I also wrote for the official magazine of a couple of festivals, like the Astra Documentary Film Festival) tend to see me getting a bit loquacious, but I'm working on that :).
