Software engineer (C/C++, obj-c, Python, Matlab, R, ML algorithms)

    Belarus - Tests: 7 - Portfolio: 5

The last 5 years I have worked mostly as a C and C++ developer in a field of process automation and control (SCADA). Familiar with OOP and TDD, Design Patterns and different methods of software development (waterfall, agile). I have a good experience in the development of multithread client-server applications, windows services, dll-s and cross-platform libraries. One of the specific features of my job was writing readable and easy-portable C-code covered with tests.Another interesting feature is working in small groups dealing with frequently changing goals. The major benefit of this style of work is a great experience on all levels of software development process (from project design and requirement development to final tests). Besides, I have a great interest in the research of new technologies and IT science related fields.

    Joaquín Tumas

    Expert AngularJS/FrontEnd Developer

    Argentina - Tests: 7 - Portfolio: 1

[ My complete profile can be found on stack overflow careers: http://careers.stackoverflow.com/jtumas ] Hey! I'm an ultra cool ninja master guru god of AngularJS, as I've been working with it for almost almost 1,5 years and before that I was getting job done on backboneJS. More sincerely: I'm a fairly good developer that likes javascript because of its functional, decently modern and it's-fucking-everywhere nature. I did a ton of Yôga, some Aikido, and I also have a cool beard, so perhaps some day I can recall that title. About my working experience: I discovered Angular and fell into its arms pretty fast, I hold (and I think I'm not alone on this) that it's the most efficient way to get big and not so big webapps done today, by balancing its inherent architecture enforcement, TDD focus, good ideas (fake web components FTW) and a passionated community that keeps making awesome plugins and researching for more productive work patterns. Short sentences attempting to describe me I love to make a badass few liners that condenses a huge amount of logic (perhaps some magic with regexps or underscore/lodash mapreducing something), checking it works, and then exploding them in 10 or 15 lines with a couple of comments where they may belong. The code should explain itself without needing to check the comments. Nevertheless a variable that will be defined, used and discarded immediatly may well be called with 1 letter. If you can't justify why you are doing things some way, you are probably doing it wrong. English is not my main language and I may or may not proudly speak with an Slavoj Zizek like diction. PD: we Argentinians (and Uruguayans and some Brazilians) have a herbal beverage that punches coffee in the face as natural energy drink, it's called "mate" (pronounces like 'latte' but with an starting m)
