B.A. Asian Studies
Last active: 09/02/2014
Having been in the USA for almost a year, I took courses in international business administra-tion and effective public speaking. Taking those courses I was able to learn about international relations, global economics and I also improved my speaking abilities. Afterwards, during my chemistry studies at the Technical University of Munich, which I did not finish due to family building plans, I obtained a sound knowledge of all major natural sciences, including higher mathematics, which proved to be an advantage regarding economics and academic research methods during my Bachelor Studies in Bonn. During this three year program I pursued an education in which I gained interdisciplinary knowledge mainly about current Asia. Having obtained my Bachelor of Arts with an above average grade, I am looking for a Master’s program in which I am able to use the knowledge I have already obtained, but with which I may also firmly settle myself in Europe, since my ambition is to work in an international environment that relates to both Europe and Asia.
I am very ambitious, self-disciplined and a quick learner, who likes to work as a team player as well as independently. While I was working and also actively involved as a volunteer during my studies, there was a strong demand for being effective and well-organized. My work also provided me with first-hand knowledge of how an internationally active organisation works and I was able to acquire personal skills like the ability to work under pressure or to organise international projects.
