I am a graduate of the University of the Philippines, with a BS degree in Tourism. During my college years, I experienced handling different kinds of projects, mostly acting as the group leader. One of the biggest projects I handled was the Lakbay Kalusugan 2007, a forum on the medical and health tourism in the Philippines, in which I was the Promotions Committee Head. In the summer of the same year, I had my on-the-job training in the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), where I trained in Marketing and Events Management. A week after my graduation, I was employed by one ... of the sister companies of A.P. Moller-Maersk, MCC Transport Philippines. I worked as a Customer Service Executive Assistant, wherein I dealt with both domestic and international shipments as well as customer-related matters. Later on, I became the sole account handler of the company's Intra-Asia shipments. The following year, in 2009, I received a scholarship from the Japanese government. I studied Japanese in Osaka for one year, and then took Travel course in Tokyo Institute of Tourism. While in Japan, I participated in different international exchange programs such as the English Immersion Day of Kumon, wherein the foreign students became the camp leaders of the workshop and taught the Japanese children how to communicate in English. The next one was during Japan's biggest international exchange events, Japan Tent, wherein the foreign participants stayed in Ishikawa Prefecture to live with their Japanese host families for one week. In addition to this, I also experienced teaching English as a second language to Japanese children in a cram school, and in an English conversation center as a chat host. Whether in the Philippines or in abroad, I have always been interested with international relations, languages, teaching, and traveling. With the knowledge, skills, and experiences that I have, I am aiming to be engaged in jobs that will not only utilize these skills but which will also hone them. Though I may only seem to be productive in areas such as events, tourism, English teaching, and current events, I can also work in the fields of creative writing, Japanese translation, and even audio transcribing.
