Cold Calling

“Very unsatisfied - ended up canceling the project early. Don is a nice guy, but his lack of organization was extremely damaging to scope of the job Don was hired for. I had to constantly follow up asking for information that was requested for months on end. At the beginning of the contract I sent Don clear spreadsheets with information we wanted. He did not understand how to use the spreadsheets and said we would just write down and e-mail the information from each call in his own format. This never happened throughout the entire contract.There were many instances where Don would forget to answer question for 3-4 weeks at a time until I would e-mail again requesting the information. When I brought this up to Don he responded with an emotionally charged e-mail that negated factual statements that could be verified if he took the time to look at previous e-mails as I suggested he do. Don stated certain questions I had he assumed to be unimportant. To me this is a very concerning attitude when someone has prepaid $1,000.When I hired him he had a great rating, and I saw a lot of previous clients spoke highly of him, which is why I was so surprised by Don's poor quality of work on my project. Over the 50 hour contract he only set up 3 appointments, a feat I was able to achieve in half a day of calling. This doesn't add up for me. When I brought up my dissatisfaction to Don and requested a partial refund, all the sudden he said he had just finished using all the hours (curious timing).Even if Don really did use up all the time exactly when he said he did, it still took him 8 months to complete the contract )the original deal was it would take 1-3 months max to complete).I'm sure Don will say I am unhappy because I was unable to close any deals (as this was one of his responses to my e-mails). I assure you, however, this is not the case. Don had a difficult time digging deep to find out who was the actual decision maker, and in many cases set up appointments with lower level employes. Again, all appointments I set up myself were with the appropriate party and were closed. As I mentioned, Don has some very satisfied clients, but I would think twice before prepaying $1,000.”
