My github - https://github.com/Gonzih My blog - http://blog.gonzih.me/ Professional experience: * 6 Years ... moreof Linux using/administrating. * 4 Years of Ruby/RubyOnRails development. * 1+ Year of Clojure/ClojureScript development. Facts about me: * Linux fan and experienced user. * Functional programming enthusiast. * Vim Ninja. * Open source evangelist/contributor. * Active github user. * Fan of BDD and TDD methodologies in software development. * Have experience of pair programming, love it. * Fan of DRCS (Git/Mercurial). * Embedded systems hobbyist (Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Arduino). * Familiar with Machine Learning techniques (Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, K-means, PCA, Anomaly Detection, Recommender Systems). * Comfortable with following programming languages: Clojure, ClojureScript, Ruby, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, Scheme, Racket, Common Lisp. * Familiar with following programming languages: Haskell, Lua, Java, JRuby, C#, Octave, Python, VimL, Scala. * Have experience with NoSLQ and SQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL). Preferable db server is Postgres. * Openminded developer, with passion to technologies. Short story: I started working with PHP as freelancer in 2008 while studying in local College in Computer Science. Got in love with Unix operating systems back there. First Unix OS was FreeBSD. Even now I can remember bunch of formatted HDDs (by mistake of course) and working FreeBSD on my machine, without any idea why I installed it and what to do next with it. Tried out linux after that. Switched few distributives since then (Ubuntu, Fedora, Gentoo, Arch Linux, OpenSUSE). After finishing college I went working to the small outsourcing company as PHP developer and to the local University as Computer Science student (2009). After 1 year working with PHP I decided to try out new programming language for better productivity and more coding comfort. Tried out few popular in web languages (C#, Java, Ruby, Python). In love with Ruby since then. Was working as freelancer in few small and medium size teams for almost 4 years. In 2012 got interested in Clojure, brought all available books about Clojure on the market, learned it, still mastering it. Got interested in functional programming, learned Haskell on basic level. I'm still working/hacking with Clojure as language of the choice. Love ideas of functional programming, think that FP is much easier to understand and reason about than currently popular imperative object-oriented programming techniques. Always was excited about AI and Neural Networks. Took machine learning course on coursera by Andrew Ng. Leaned touch typing to become faster in vim, switched from QWERTY layout to Programmer Dvorak just as experiment few years ago, and now I don't want to go back to QWERTY, Dvorak is much more comfortable. Huge fan of the virtualization and cloud technologies. Dreamer with hope to make the difference and create something valuable. less

Max did a fantastic job on my CoffeeScript app. I asked him to learn a new framework and he picked it up beautifully. His code is clean and clear. I'm hiring him hourly to finish the app (original contract was very limited scope). We slipped back a week due to his illness, but that happens from time to time and didn't materially impact the outcome of the project. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him.
