The publishing world is taking a hit these days and due to downsizing, my position as Digital Media Director at RKP was eliminated in November 2012. I am now working from home with a focus in digital and social media marketing, consulting, writing, design and project management. In the last couple of years I've collaborated with sales, corporate, e-comm, subscriptions and editorial teams to drive cohesive in-house web, print, email and social media marketing campaigns that helped grow and engage a combined fan base of over 500,000 likes, followers, members and subscribers. I've worked on campaigns such as monthly contests, e-Commerce promotions, branding materials, weekly videos, digital ad banners, e-blasts, surveys, community panels, e-newsletters and social media page updates which helped double, if not triple the traffic on company sites and increased subscription sales. I helped RKP transition from monthly updates to daily and weekly updates. As a result, I've published a blog series called "Going Digital" for Canada's Unbound Media, a blog for online magazines and media sites. The series is all about helping a company transition their content to the digital realm.
