Opencart php-programming job.
May 2014 - Aug 2014
I was given a very good impression at first. After a while we hit some speed bumps due to the person responsible for html was being slow on his end which slowed the whole project. This was not Zias fault however. But then I was told that there was a problem with the module that was to be implemented. So I spend lots of time calling and emailing the payment company trying to fix it. However, at one point I logged into the opencart admin and noticed the error within a minute after looking at the module. (And I had never seen this module before). Basically it was a matter of not clicking "full payment" and filling in all the information in all the fields. This made me wonder if there was even any effort put in trying ot fix the issue at hand.
The next big issue was compatibility (of a few table-cells that got bugged). Basically I had to ask Zia to check the same thing over and over on different browsers because he only made sure it worked on the one he used (Firefox). I was asked "Is it ok now?" over and over again. I would expect someone with expertice in the field to actually make a quick check in 2-3 different browsers instead of asking me over and over.
The last thing. I was told that if I wanted the website uploaded to my ftp that I would have to give him a"5 star review" and at that point I had not even received the files. So he basically tried to bribe me after I had released the funds. I do not see that as professional at all. Had he uploaded my webpage he would at least been able to make up for some of his slack.
