SalesForce Implementation and Migration
May 2014 - Sep 2014
Sumit seems to be plagued with a poor team, but even after waiting weeks for him to come and personally finish the job he hired on to do he did not complete it. He says he was waiting on me, but I had emailed him the file he needed. Still, I did not hear from him for two weeks. He was supposed to do a Data migration and automate our lead capturing system. All of these jobs were left partially done or not even started. Due to the size of our project we had hired Sumit and another contractor. The other completed his job and didn't log useless hours. In Sumit's case he logged hours and more hours saying they were almost done, yet in the end I have had to hire the other contractor to complete his work. While he has great marketing and has desires to build his company the follow through and quality control is poor. His ability to team work is also poor. Since in this project there was overlap of the two developers he verbally blasted the other for not knowing what he was doing and messing up his codes. I was then placed in the middle of two developers that simply needed to communicate with each other. Through this mediation they were able to continue. In the end I hope Sumit will take more time to ensure his team does the right job, completes it, and personally tests it ensuring its function before asking for final payment. Additionally, I would recommend that manual hours not be allowed and I would watch the work very carefully to ensure no "fluffing" of hours.
