Good day, I am new to this way of work but not on the work itself, since I am well experienced working as a "secretary alike" on an International Merchant ship, I am a Navigation Officer for 5 good years. with additional 3 years working the same things but as an aspiring officer. Yes even when I just started as a Rating on a ship I already give my best and show my officers that I can do their task of course it's with their help and instructions. But eventhough I work as and called as the secretary of the Ship I can't put this on my resume because It's just part of my job and not my job description, and also because of this, I am in "no mans land" on this field on where I am trying to land a job. If ever you are not familiar with a Navigational Officers work on Merchant ships, we navigate the ship 8 hours a day this includes communicating via radiotelephone, satellite phone or emails into other vessels and personnel of different countries we are attending to, and we have to work 10 hours a day including overtime, during that overtime we do this so-called "PAPERWORKS" the secretary alike that I have mentioned before. This works usually with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF files. On Microsoft Word, I do simple tasks like writing reports, requests, and some safety posters for the vessel itself. This thing goes to various recipients depending on its content, some goes outbound, and others just for the Vessels filling. On Microsoft Excel, I do Crewlist (Vessels crewlist is detailed, this includes some important data of a crew for example addresses, age, birthdate, passport numbers, etc.) I also do some accounting of Crew Salary deductions due to phone calls etc. I also do Inventories of different storages. (Medicines, Books, DVD's, Safety Equipment and spares and, etc.) I also do VOYAGE MEMO (this is information about the vessels Where, When, and What On PDF, I do filling up forms from an outside source, usually from countries Custom and Agents. mostly USA, Canada, and Singapore have these PDF forms. In addition to my long explained skill, Please lend me more time on this additional but most important skill of mine. I am Trustworthy, reliable, and a fast learning person. I really wish you consider my application and let's have fun making money together.
