Over the years, the total sum of hours that I have spent on transcription is well over 3000. The experience I've gained transcribing content has trained my ears exceptionally well to understand different dialects and accents, and therefore, I'm also able to distinguish between different voices heard in an audio file. When it's video, you have visuals and it's easy to differentiate between multiple speakers, but audio transcription is a different ball game altogether.
Being a natural writer makes my work all the more precise as you won't find any errors in the work that I will turn around.
And last but not the least, let's be honest: Does how fast one type matter while transcribing? Yes, to some extent it does. But what really matters is how well one is able to listen and is able to understand and distinguish what's being spoken; that's what really matters when transcribing audio/video content. Typing ignorantly without understanding a word that's being dictated is one thing, but for a diligent worker, client satisfaction is paramount and, I, for one, ensure that whatever I transcribe is of the highest quality and standards.
