Pitch Deck Storytelling Restructuring and Re-Design
I loved chatting with Barbara on our initial calls and I felt she is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. When it comes to turnaround times and deck design, the experience was lacking. We have missed several deadlines this week due to our documents not being ready in time and I had to end the contract. We were originally told 2-3 weeks and it took over 6-8 weeks for a deck we were not building from scratch.
Updating my review to include feedback: Barbara has convinced herself that we had an April deadline versus taking accountability for the many deadlines she missed. After the first 4 weeks had passed, I requested an update from Barbara twice, and each time she gave me a date she'd have the deck to me, she would miss that deadline without any communication that she needed more time. When she finally turned in the first edit (5 weeks into the project), it was only the first 8 pages. I was also astonished that the deck looked almost identical to my original deck with some design upgrades even though I was under the impression that she was doing a full deck overhaul. Her mentioning I was awaiting clinical trial results is untrue as our results were in the first week of the project and I had already told her to start all the other pages and we put a place holder in for the trial results. Again there is a lack of accountability on her part which is the most disappointing. Also, I never received the final files for the project even though we agreed before starting that she'd give us an editable canva link. So we wasted months of time for us to not get what she originally agreed to give us. I had to hire another designer from Upwork who was able to turn around the project in days, easy to work with and stuck to deadlines presented.
