Hello! My name is Lori Thenen. I was born, raised & currently based in the Midwest!
After graduating college, the first job I accepted was a server in a fine dining restaurant. I found endless humor in living the stereotypical artist life. While my job as a server filled the gaps between freelance and contract work, it also became a source of design income with a slew of connections in the food service industry that needed design work done. I’ve recently started the transition out of the food service industry but it’s difficult to leave after being bitten by the food service industry zombie.
Most of my recent design work includes presentations, images for social media, brochures, forms & business cards. I work primarily in Adobe Creative Suite.
In those moments that I am not working in a restaurant, working on a design project or a commissioned painting I can sometimes be found at home reading a book, playing a horrible mobile game or surfing Pinterest for bullet journal ideas. Otherwise, I’ll be out at a small corner bar, watching sports, playing bar dice and hanging out with my favorite people.
I’m open to all design work in any industry.
