Project details

You will get a low-poly 3D model of one item or object of your choice. 'Item' refers to the whole 3D arrangement of reasonable small size, not necessarily only one individual piece. For example, asking for a 'chest with treasure' may include the chest itself, the gold coins and other small objects of value in the chest. The arrangement is textured and ready to use in game engines like Unity. It may also be animated, if needed, in which case I kindly request a detailed description of what the animations should look like. If you have a solid idea of how the game asset should look, please describe it, or provide some kind of concept art/sketches. On the other hand, if you're not too sure about it, I will improvise and fill in the gaps myself.
I am originally a software engineer, but have been a Blender enthusiast and a game asset creator for a few years now, as I find this quite enjoyable.

Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering at Technical University of Moldova.

Worked in the sphere of Web Development, designing and building REST APIs in systems/frameworks such as MuleSoft, Spring/Spring Boot and ASP.NET. Knowledgeable in designing of REST services, API Layering, systems composed of microservices, REST API documentation, containerization and deployment of services, logging systems such as ELK and SQL databases.

Worked on many Unity indie projects over the years. Experienced with Unity game engine, proficient with Blender (modeling, rigging, animating (self-taught)), Krita and knowledgeable in most things related to computer graphics and games in general.

Took and passed several certification exams over the years, which are considered expired at this time, since two years have passed since. Nevertheless, I should mention at least the Java SE Oracle Certified Associate and Mulesoft Developer Certification (Level 1).

Have coded at some point in almost every more-or-less known programming language, so it's not very practical to list all of them. However, the ones I am most confident in my ability to use are Java and C#.

Some of the other general tools or concepts that I have knowledge of, as having a software engineering degree requires that I am familiar with these:

- Object Oriented Programming, Functional Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Design Patterns, Cloud Applications Design/Cloud architecture, Machine Learning, Git, CI/CD, Network Programming, Docker/Podman, Android and/or iOS development, light experience with IoT systems.

Work on the concept for the model (if needed)

If needed, I will come up with a more detailed concept and feed it back to the client before starting to model it to check if it's acceptable.

Work on the model itself

Here, I will model, color and animate (if needed) the 3D arrangement in Blender, after which I will make sure it's scaled, adjusted and ready to use in a game engine like Unity.

Review the work, release payment, and leave feedback to Laurentiu.
