Social Media Editor for 30 Second iPhone Video
Katelyn seemed nice enough. The job was to do simple transcription of dialog on 30-60 second videos and allow for 2 round of notes. We provided an example video and a template. She did not adhere to these but what she sent had an interesting look. I would have preferred she asked first before trying something different but I don't mind people pushing creativity. After talking to our team after her first draft we decided to have her convert her version to the template version we originally asked for. She then told us she only does "product videos" (something she never said in her profile or in her application and that she wouldn't be working with us anymore. I sent a message asking her to finish the job as she had agreed to so as not to leave us high and dry and so that we could give her a good rating. She never responded to me again. Hence the not so great rating.
In the end we didn't have to pay her too much as she hadn't spent too much time with us but we almost missed our deadline finding someone else and the money we did pay her was wasted because we had to have someone else do her work over again.
I think maybe she's just younger/inexperienced in terms of keeping your reputation and doing the job you agreed to do. Hopefully she'll develop that work pride and professionalism soon.
