You will get a vector illustration with shading and a simple background.

Project details
You will get a vector illustration with shading and a simple background. This is a great option if you are looking for a unique pet portrait, a character design idea for a children's book or business mascot, or a design to use on merchandise like stickers and t-shirts. Vector art is a style of digital illustration that can be scaled up or down to any size without becoming pixelated.
I am a detail-oriented illustrator with a strong design sense and a quirky sense of humor. I will communicate with you throughout the illustration process to ensure that you are happy with the finished product. A detailed background is an optional add-on.

Logo Needed to be Derived from Two Images
Beth was excellent to work with, she was quick and thorough and had great communication.
She created a product logo that was an illustration of an antelope, as well as a sign that incorporated that logo and some other elements from our customer. The results were amazing.
If you are looking for an illustrator or graphics designer, I would highly recommend Beth.

I am all-but-dissertation in a PhD program in Animal Biology at the University of California, Davis, where I studied the molecular mechanisms of sperm-egg fusion. I have a Master's in Education and a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University.
My research experience includes propagating human viruses in cell culture, analyzing RNA-Seq data on single human oocytes, performing Western blots and immunoprecipitation experiments on proteins extracted from pig sperm and eggs, extracting hormones from clouded leopard fecal samples, and netting bees in the rainforest of Costa Rica. As a result, I can fluently read research articles in a broad array of subjects and skillfully synthesize them into a well-written review.
I enjoy writing and have a strong knowledge of the conventions of English grammar, having taught and tutored these subjects for a number of years. I am exceptionally detail oriented and remarkably thorough in both my writing and research; I strive for complete accuracy and a product of the highest quality. You can see examples of my writing at bethgrahambio.medium.com.
My illustration work includes both freehand/artistic and technical drawings. Examples are available in my portfolio or at bethgrahambio.com. I am comfortable with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. I can create vector illustrations, lay out publications, manipulate photos, and edit video and sound.
As an educator, I have taught students of all ages in a wide variety of subjects. I taught Cell Biology for Health Professionals at Portland Community College for two years. At UC Davis, I served as a teaching assistant for a broad range of classes (including biochemistry, human physiology, and ecology) for seven years. I have worked in informal science education at zoos and museums for six years. I have worked as a tutor part-time throughout my career, and have tutored kindergarteners through adults in reading, writing, math, biology, and/or standardized test preparation. I enjoy designing lessons, writing curriculum, and creating educational videos.
Finally -- but importantly -- I am friendly and easy to work with. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
