Reverse Engineer 3D Scans into Parametric Models
I had a very disappointing experience working with Riaz on a reverse engineering project. The final 3D model is completely unusable—when overlaid with the original scan, the mounting holes and overall dimensions do not match, meaning the part will never fit once manufactured. I now have to get this done elsewhere or do it myself.
Additionally, I noticed some highly questionable billing practices. Instead of working consistently, Riaz would log small chunks of time over several weeks while doing minimal work, then complete everything in a single day. He originally estimated 15–20 hours but attempted to bill me for 43, despite delivering a part that isn’t even functional.
I cannot recommend Riaz for precision work or fair billing practices. Proceed with caution.
