Very difficult to work with. The man refuses any virtual meet call -- which is fine, except that when are sharing vision of 3D modeling it becomes hard not to screen share and collaborate, it opens the door to a bunch of assumptions and misunderstanding.
With the huge lack of comprehension, I then had to put up with so much complaining and rotten speech from this man. He was frustrated that he could not follow very clear and detailed references. Granted, these were not complex models like he has on his portfolio --think every day furniture. He will often use his own vision rather than yours and not even ask for permission or give you a heads up that he will do his own version. When we can't allow that because they are real products we manufacture.
Finally, through all the terrible collaboration and communication. We came to a somewhat good amount of work done, if you wanted to call it that. Except he sends all the wrong dimensions of models and file extensions we made crystal clear in the beginning.
He then extorted us to release the milestone in exchange for asset files. I think, ok it's not much $ and he's new to upwork probably not aware of process + of course I just want to be done. I released the milestone, he then doubled down and stated he will not sending any assets until the money is in his bank.
I have lost so much time and it's been 7 days since I release AND added a bonus and just got nothing in the end.
