I design to make packagings for products. Packaging matters a lot when your product has no rocket science in it and there are too many silimar ones on the market.
It is normal for small startups to ask for a small MOQ for their ODM orders. It is risky to place a big initial order when you just get started.
One of the excuse the suppliers may give you is that their box or carton manufacturers also have a MOQ for them. That can be true. Or maybe that is only because they prefer bigger orders to small orders. But this excuse won't exist if you make the design with their dieline and have the packaging manufactured on your own. And you can also tell them you import lots of goods from China and that is why you can do the packaging thing on your own and it can be persuasive and make them accept your small MOQ in the beginning.
I learnt nothing about design back in school. I learnt it years after my graduation during work. I love it as it is a creative job and it helps me a lot when I sell products. I hope I can help you with this skill of mine as well.

We regret to leave this review, but we feel it is essential to share our experience with this sourcing freelancer. Throughout our collaboration, we encountered several concerning issues that have led us to question his credibility and professionalism.
Firstly, the freelancer displayed disrespectful and rude behavior towards our team, including his direct supervisor, who was pregnant at the time. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable in any working environment.
Moreover, we discovered that the freelancer manipulated various costs, including logistics, shipping, and other expenses, with the intention of maximizing his own profits. This resulted in unnecessary financial burden for our company, and he failed to provide any concrete evidence to support these additional charges.
Furthermore, he withheld one of our paid-in-full products, using it as leverage to pressure us into accepting his unreasonable terms. Such conduct demonstrates a complete lack of integrity and trustworthiness.
Given these troubling experiences, we strongly advise caution when considering collaboration with this freelancer. We believe his actions warrant a reevaluation of his presence on Upwork to protect other clients from potential harm.

Supplier search, information collection, manufacturer vetting, etc, they are so important for a right decision. Wrong information may misguide you to make a wrong decision, may make you lose a wonderful business opportunity.
In the eyes of my Children I am a designer as they saw me design packagings as a value-added service at home when I do sourcing for those who want to build their own brand and do private labeling. I already have a couple of printing/packaging manufacturers working with me. It can be very helpful to those startups who need a small MOQ with their own logo and packaging but can not reach a deal with their potential suppliers. By using my packaging sourcing and buying service this problem can be solved. You do not have to take such a big risk to spend a lot of money to keep a big stock when you just start your business.
I am living in Guangming District, Shenzhen and I do Quality Inspection within a radius of 100 miles. It means I can go to Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshang and Huizhou to do Quality Inspection for you.
Shenzhen is considered as the Tech Hub of China. You can find most electronic products available here. It is 1 hour's drive from the neighbouring city Dongguan who is known as the workshop of the world and 2 hours' drive from Zhongshan who is famous for its LED Lighting Industry, Foshan who is famous for its machineries and the world famous city Guangzhou.
It is easy for me to drive to go there for on-site Factory Auditing or Quality Inspection.
There are also thousands of manufacturers within a radius of 10km around me. It is super easy for me to outsource CNC Machining, Laser Cutting, Mold Making/Molding and PCB Design and Manufacturing within this redius and go for quality inspection afterwards.
My Specialty is on Consumer Electronics, especially products around smart phones like data cables, chargers (wired or wireless), Acoustic Products including Stereo Loudspeaker, Wired earphones, Bluetooth Earphones and TWS Earbuds. And I have a solid background of Plastic Injection Mold and Molding.
As a Graphic Designer, I use Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw to design packaging for my clients when necessary and I use Adobe Photoshop to edit images so that they can use them on their websites easily.
