Unreal Engine Designer/Animator
Arseniy is a talented animator/visual creator, however one aspect of the collaboration was a frustration, which was the communication. He assured me he had checked my Unreal Engine project files which made me feel comfortable to hire him and begin a contract. It turns out, he had not thoroughly checked the project files... and he was unable to do a majority of the work using the project files provided. He was however able to do a smaller percentage of the work using a 2D methodology, which is why all other aspects of my review are 5-stars because despite this roadblock, the work was completed.
This communication error on his part cost time and money to my project which I'm not sure he fully understands. I've been a Freelancer myself for almost 20 years (and I'm Expert Vetted on Upwork)... A key rule of thumb for freelancers is to NEVER overpromise and underdeliver. So if you can ensure that Aresniy is not overpromising, you will be sure to get high quality work.
