Project details
I will make for you a fully rendered realistic-looking creature design based on your brief and/or reference images. This illustration will be made in such a way that it's visually appealing (color balance, lighting, etc.) and anatomically correct. This means that I will make sure that the creature could actually be functional and alive in your world, unless specified otherwise. If preferred, I will also think along and change features, or work fully from a minimal description.
If you already have a concept available which I can work from, or it's an already existing creature with minor edits, like a werewolf or unicorn: Please contact me instead. These designs are cheaper because of the presence of clear reference images. Less research is needed that way.

I'm a Dutch artist known for my realistic style. I specialized in:

-Creature design-
Creature designs I can either do from scratch, generating ideas based on brief and reference images. Or I can work from an already existing design that needs its own take and my style.
I begin with sketches which I'll show so you can make your favorite pick. Following this, I make the final design in the shape of lineart. I will send this for review too and start the rendering process to create the final piece. During this phase, you will receive one more image to make sure we're still on the right track. This is also the last phase where we can do major changes.
-Character design-
When it comes to character designs, I usually work from a reference (preferred pose, type of clothing, type of face, emotion etc) to come up with a design that's appealing to look at with the help of proper posing and lighting.
As a character designer, I draw anything from real life to anything from any fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk etc world. Full body, portraits, different poses, and different settings, with or without any kinds of props. I also do NSFW, but tend to stay in the sensual/classy region, but feel free to contact me for anything else.
What I don't do is anything that could be considered offensive (think of religious outings, hardcore objectified porn, extreme gore, etc.) A fictional battlescene is okay, so is a fictional religion or scenes that display historical events.
I also don't do realistically accurate portraits of people you know, but I can use them as references for your character designs.

-Prop design-
Anything you can think of. They could be part of a character or creature design, or standalone items for a game for example.
-Animal and pet art-
As these illustrations are usually very personal in nature, I only work from proper reference images. If you want me to copy them one on one I need the photographer's written permission. In any other case, I can edit the pose, background, etc.
It's very important, especially when these animals are your pets, that I get very sharp large photographs to work from.
-What you can expect-
- In the case of props, characters, and creature designs you will receive sketches, lineart, and flat color images before the final rendering take place. This is to make sure we are on the same page.
- In the case of animals and pets, it's either the same as characters and creatures, or, when it's copying a photo, you will get the different stages of the renders but no sketches or lineart.
- You will receive the final images in whatever size and format requested. Default is .jpeg and .pdf. The lineart and sketches will be small images, unless requested otherwise. I do not release the layered original file.
- You can use my art as part of a project or product line given proper referencing to me as the artists, or for personal goals. You cannot use my art solely for poster printing services. To do this it needs to be part of a product line, series, a project like a game or a book, etc.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, I'm quite flexible and can also draw in a less realistic style, or create a coloring book for example. I'm also open to working for a company, so it doesn't necessarily need to be a freelance job.

Sketch phase
I will make you a few simple sketches with different designs and/or poses. You can then pick what pose or what design (or pieces of the designs) you like most and/or would like to see combined. From this point I will start with a solid design.
Lineart
I will solidify the chosen design, make edits where needed, and add new ideas if they come up. I will show it to you when the design is finished, you can then request edits if you'd like. The overall design can't be changed though.
