My approach to character design revolves around meticulous research and reference utilization, which I consider fundamental to ensuring accuracy and depth in my work. An illustrative example of this methodology is the creation of the Jade Vine (Tayabak) Character Concept, which I have included in my highlights. In crafting this character, I conducted extensive research into the properties of the flower, meticulously studying its intricate details such as the petals, leaves, and fruit. By immersing myself in the essence of the plant, I was able to develop a captivating character that truly embodies the spirit of the flower.
In terms of technical proficiency, I use Adobe Photoshop as my primary tool due to its highly-efficient photo editing tools and brushes, which significantly enhance my productivity. Additionally, for modeling weapons and objects, I utilize Autodesk Maya, finding its 3D environment conducive to conceptualizing geometric shapes more effectively than freehand drawing. For precise lining and text placement, I turn to Adobe Illustrator as a supplementary tool, ensuring accuracy and clarity in my illustrations when needed.
