Website help needed
The developer was contracted to modify or rebuild a consultation booking page to enable both appointment scheduling and integrated payment collection, as discussed in detail during a Zoom meeting prior to the contract commencement. The developer was given access to the website backend before accepting the project to assess feasibility and functionality.
Issues Encountered:
Missed Deadline Without Communication:
The developer agreed to deliver the work within a specified timeframe.
The deadline passed with no communication or status update from the developer.
Only after follow-up did the developer cite a power outage in their country, despite the fact that other freelancers from the same region were active and responsive during that time.
Failure to Deliver Core Functionality:
The primary task—integrating a booking calendar with Stripe payment—was not successfully implemented.
The developer struggled to reconcile or replace the existing consultation page with a solution that meets the stated requirements.
The functionality was not tested by the developer. It was left to the client to find out whether Stripe integration and email notifications were working correctly, which is not acceptable practice.
He was to ensure that the plugin worked well and that email was being routed to the correct place. It was initially attempted but not completed. When he was asked to fix the existing issues, he remained silent.

There has been a consistent lack of communication throughout the week.
