Project details
I have been providing design services to my clients for a long time. I worked on Upwork for a while, but due to the high workload, I couldn't dedicate enough time to it. However, just as the world order has changed, the design landscape and systems have also evolved. As someone who creates designs that combine Design and Technology (such as Augmented Reality), I have started integrating design with Artificial Intelligence. Since it is a new system, I have decided to return to the platform where this system will serve best: Upwork! Graphic Designer for New Skincare Brand
Alper is an amazing designer, initially his engagement was good, his conversational english is not fluent so most of the time it was over chat, or I would send him a Loom recording. This was not an issue for me however as he always understood what I wanted. He came up with some creative designs - designs I would not have envisaged, so I was very happy initially. I was very positive about finding him.
However Alper started his own business, which is great to do so happy for him, but that meant communication really dropped off. I would have chase quite a lot to get any response, he said everything was still ok and that he was just busy but would get back to me. I tried to confirm multiple times that if he had enough bandwidth to continue the contact and he assured me all would be ok, however communication essentially dried up.
I really respect people starting their own business and don't hold it against him but he should have been more open in letting me know he was too busy to work on my project. From start to finish we worked for over 3 months and we only managed to get a logo done for my new business, so we wasted a lot of time and I'm almost back at square one searching for a new designer. It's unfortunate, as I said initially he is an amazing designer as you can see from his other reviews.
