I have previously designer for worldwide retailers and UK Lingerie design house’s, who manage the design and production of lingerie for many global brands, where I was employed for over 10 years.
I now run my own freelance design and development consultancy, Bare Contour - a specialist design house focused on developing high quality, visually stunning and well fitting lingerie and swimwear for start up brands.
Swimsuits, Bikinis, Bras, Bodies, Suspenders, Robes, Chemises, Pyjamas, Loungewear and beyond, I've developed 1000's of products over the years! I have in depth technical/manufacturing knowledge and excellent cad illustration skills, with a thorough understanding of garment construction, fit & performance. My work is always grounded in quality fit & finishing, and I have collaborated with factories all over the world to develop beautiful samples and production for my clients.
I love to develop ranges from initial concepts, moodboards and trend research, through to design development and finally detailed technical specs ready for the factory floor. I have extensive experience of sourcing, in depth fabric knowledge and skills in pattern development. - Seamless repeat print design, particularly relevant to Swimwear & Active Wear - Presentation boards, range plans, line sheets
- Moodboards, Colour research with Pantones and Catwalk Analysis
- Fabric Sourcing; Detailed knowledge of fabrics and componentry which is fit for purpose, I have a global network of fabric and trim suppliers for all volumes and price ranges.
- Fitting Analysis; I can work with your manufacturer on fit improvements throughout the process.
- Sizing, Grading & Testing Performance suggestions, knowledge of all functional and performance requirements.

Receive and Understand the Inspiration/ Brief
Once I recieve your inspiration, I will confirm the details to start the sketch. Inspirational images, rough sketches and fabric/colour suggestions are all helpful!

Draw the lines of the garment using Adobe Illustrator, in black & white.
