Very disappointing experience and this was the first time such experience on upwork. Freelancer did not have the right skills to be able to optimize the performance as promised initially. After he was unable to identify and fix the issue, he recommended new wordpress theme itself , We did a mistake by accepting his suggestion and allowing him to change the website theme, as it ruined the entire website with a new and buggy theme , this also caused huge delays . Once the number of issues were high, freelancer just gave up and left the website on our own, with his own suggested theme, so that was very unprofessional behavior . neverthless, we were able to hire another developer (Infact for full time now) , who quickly changed the theme back to original , and now we already did 4 new websites with the newly hired developer and fortunately getting more projects as well.
