About Mathew
Agile Change & Delivery Manager, Coach and Analyst
London, United Kingdom - 2:29 am local time
I perform a wide range of analyst activities from high level strategic requirements planning at the Portfolio level, breaking down further through Solution Backlogs, Product Backlogs and writing tickets and User Stories at the lowest level of detail in the Team Backlog. I have elicited requirements from a range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, I can gather, prioritise, and obtain signoff to a high standard whilst maintaining full traceability via quality documentation.
Having previously owned several mission critical systems, taking responsibility for the Customer Communications Management (CCM) systems and ownership of their day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance. Paired with a can-do attitude, I learned .NET and SQL, and built an interface into the CCM system to produce daily dashboards for all areas of the system such as number of documents processed for each business unit/area to capacity used and processing time of the batch.
Additionally, I coach and mentor new developers on a 1:1 basis whilst being able to hold a room presenting POC’s, ideas and innovations where valuable feedback is taken and integrated into the FS or PBI. I utilise methods such as the 3 Amigo’s approach, one-to-one interviews, workshops, design sprints and analysis of quantitative data using surveys and other raw data.
Previous projects have seen me learning and using Azure and VMWare to build and host an end-to-end document processing and archiving system, consisting between 5 and 8 servers. I am converse with all MS products, Google products, BPMN 2.0, Adobe products, Jira, Trello, and some wire framing tools such as Balsamiq and I am also able to analyse vast quantities of data using a mixture of SQL and Excel to find issues, patterns, anomalies and present the data back to an audience. Collaboration tools such as Miro and Slack make frequent appearances.
My current engagement sees my role mature to the next level as a Business Change Manager, responsible for keeping a detailed Communications Strategy and Plan, building my own delivery framework using elements of SAFe and Scrum, designing the Backlog Hierarchy, workflow, and ticket composition. I held regular Product Working Groups to act as the interface between the product team and user base. Facing budget challenges mid delivery put my prioritisation and communication skills to the test.
My forte is diagramming processes, use cases, user journeys and maps and even code, and translating tough to follow processes into simple diagrams that can be broken down into steps, journeys, or other necessary formats so a shared understanding is reached.
