Project details

Games regularly need an outside review to keep on track and avoid any gameplay pitfalls. This project is to review your game in all its elements from game design to code structure and point out any issues you need to resolve. I'm flexible as to what I spend the most time reviewing. Your needs determine where I spend my time. I'm able to fix 2D and 3D art, sounds, music (simple fixes only), and code.

The starter review is essentially a once-over. I spend a day looking through the project and marking any potential issues I discover. I will also provide potential solutions for those issues as I review the project.

A standard review is a bit more of an active debug. I'll do the review in addition to fixing any small issues I encounter along the way. All changes will be documented and I will ensure I have your sign-off before any code or project changes are committed.

An advanced review is essentially reserving my time for four days. I will go over ever facet of the project you want me to look at and I'm fully capable of performing an active call if you want me to do this live.

Unity 2D 4-Directional RPG - Freely Customize Width/Height Scaling of the Camera w/o Black Borders. All around an easygoing guy to work with, would be more than willing to work on with this Dev again on future titles. Door is always open.

I'm a professional developer with the Unity development engine. I've been using the engine since 2007, when I taught myself the engine to such a degree I paid my way through college by selling tutorials for the engine. (My old website for those is unity-tutorials.com, sadly now out-of-date)

Starting in 2011, I began doing professional consulting and work-for-hire making games and software for smaller companies and individuals. Those projects ranged from a simple storybook app for iOS to the official software edition for "The Farming Game," a classic board game. I've also created more abstract apps like an educational program that tracks learning progress for middle-schoolers, a nuclear warhead damage simulator for a charity, and the 3D visualizer for Acupuncture of the ear (Auriculo).

Since then I've worked full-time in multiple jobs including at Williams Interactive as an engineer creating slot machines, at Keystone Games as a lead programmer making computer games and fixing existing ones (I optimized and rebalanced the recent release of Rogue Islands over two weeks, for example), and at my current job with Level Ex, Inc.

I'm fully capable to create any number of game systems and I'm skilled working solo or as part of a group. I also have extensive contacts with sub-contractors, so I'm able to take on much larger projects if needed.

Thank you for your interest and I look forward to working with you!

Steps for completing your project

After purchasing the project, send requirements so Franklin can start the project.

Delivery time starts when Franklin receives requirements from you.

Franklin works on your project following the steps below.

Revisions may occur after the delivery date.

Initial Interview

All projects start with you and me talking out your issues. What is your project? What aspect of it is worrying you? Is there anything you want me to specifically attempt to fix?

Project Review

This can come in two forms. I can either free-roam and review the project, documenting issues I find, or I can focus more on the gameplay and provide guidance on how to refine and perfect your mechanics. This will be determined in the interview.

Review the work, release payment, and leave feedback to Franklin.
