Hey there! I'm Alessandro, a Power BI and overall business intelligence specialist from Italy. In my professional career I have worked in both product and consultancy companies building BI solutions, mainly using Power BI, SSAS Tabular and SQL and working with different data sources. I am among the founders and leaders of the Italian Power BI User Group, a community that reaches more than 2K followers in Italy. My biggest passion and strongest skill in this profession is building new Power BI models or refactoring and optimizing existing ones to enable business users to leverage the full power of Power BI when navigating their data. -I can help you creating a Power BI model from scratch, starting from raw data provided on files or on a database.
-I can assist in refactoring an existing "messy" Power BI data model. You know the one that was built over the years by several people, adding little blocks over little blocks, and now doesn't work anymore? There's definitely room for improvement on that one!
-I can create DAX measures and report templates that you can further build on after delivery of the project. Data visualization is another big passion of mine!

For this reason, I am quite thorough in requirements definition and will ask you to provide all the necessary information. If I cannot help you myself, I'll be more than happy to refer you to a trusted friend or colleague in the field that I can recommend!

I do not compromise on communication and I am not afraid of roadblocks and setbacks. They are part of the job and must be taken into account and dealt with professionally. Should something arise, I will immediately let you know so we can decide on a strategy.

Build the Power BI data model based on the data sources sample
If you sent me sample data sources I will build the required star-schema on top of them. If you gave me access to your "production" environment (complete files or Database) I will work directly on real data.
