Multi-vendor E-com Web and Flutter Mobile App Developer A Warning to Others: Unprofessionalism and Scam Tactics on Upwork

I'm relatively new to the Upwork platform, and my experience with Saurav Rakholiya has been nothing short of a nightmare, completely coloring my perception of this platform. His actions and behavior have been so disappointing that I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others.

Saurav initially presented himself as a competent Flutter developer. He was confident and persuasive, filling our early conversations with assurances about his capabilities and the quality of work he could deliver. Unfortunately, as time passed, these promises were exposed as false.

Our agreement involved the development of a complex e-commerce application, structured around clearly defined milestones. Despite my reservations, I released payment for the first milestone, although the deliverables were incomplete. Saurav insisted on this, citing the need to fund his developer team.

The downfall began soon after the payment. The submitted code for the first milestone was not only incomplete but downright non-functional. Efforts to get Saurav to rectify this were met with countless excuses, delays, and an alarming lack of communication. He displayed a shocking level of unprofessionalism, going silent for extended periods, and responding with more empty promises when he eventually surfaced.

One of the most worrying aspects was Saurav's attempts to bypass Upwork's policies. He pressed for direct payment, blaming the platform's commissions for his financial woes. This action is a flagrant violation of Upwork's rules and a significant red flag.

After many attempts to salvage the project and provide Saurav with opportunities to make good on his promises, he unilaterally terminated the contract, leaving me stranded without a functional product and a significant financial loss.

I caution anyone considering Saurav Rakholiya for their projects. The unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and disregard for contractual obligations that I experienced were profound. His behavior suggests a scam operation rather than a legitimate freelance service.

Based on my regrettable experience, I urge potential clients to tread carefully. Saurav Rakholiya is a gamble that doesn't pay off. He has proven to be unreliable, untrustworthy, and unprofessional. Choose your freelancer wisely and always look for a proven track record of successful projects on Upwork. Ā
