My name is Ciocîrlie Ionuț and I am a GIS & Remote sensing Specialist, my main goal is to apply my passion and skills in different fields to improve performance and solve issues using the latest techniques of earth observation and spatial analysis
With a bachelor's degree in Geography and Cartography and a master's degree in Geographical Information Systems, Remote Sensing, and Photogrammetry from the University of Bucharest, I started my story as a consultant for one of the major land-use mapping projects in Europe, the Coastal Zone LCLU in the Copernicus program.
I have accumulated a total of 7 years of experience in processing satellite and aerial images, GIS, and planning, working for public institutions such as the Romanian Defense Geospatial Information Agency and private companies as a Technical Director in the GIS department.
I started my entrepreneurial career in 2022, being the founder of AGROGIS Romania, a precision agriculture concept in Romania that uses GIS and Remote Sensing techniques to improve the monitoring and management of agricultural farms and at the same time to promote environmental protection and sustainability agriculture.
Remote sensing services using
1. Optical Satellite imagery (pixel classifications, deep learning, machine learning for data extraction, vegetation indexes, change detection analysis, etc.)
