This man gone out of his way to perfect my site, would recommend 10/10, any changes that i wanted him to make he did with no problem, will work with again!!

He lied about his skills. Doesn't know how to design not willing to learn. Does something just to say he did it and then I had to finish what he started every time. Also he drags the project to no end. Drag you out in endless meetings... so he could justify "his time" What a scam... After 3 months he still did not finish a wordpress template... a lier and a scammer.
I give this guy all the chances I could to just finish the project. He has all the excuses in the book... I can't believe I fell for this... He cries about things that are out of scope for the project and expects me to feel sorry for him... which I did, being human.
But after 3 months and especially after giving hin specific instructions on how to finish the last parts in theme builder over a month ago he still making excuses... I got sick to my stomach and had to end this nightmare.
He did not make any of the changes I have asked for over a month now...
Once again, I learn that gut instinct never fails....I shouldn't have listened to his cries about his personal life but... but I want it to help because he promise me that he'll do the right thing... I was wrong...
I hope that UpWork implement some kind of way to how to qualify or employ a vetted system although is not their problem because as an escrow company they are doing an excellent job. But hey, live and learn...
I doubt that UpWork has any way to help me recuperate the $450 I'd paid to this guy... and by the way this is not the first time this happened... I had lost $500 before with another "deal" here... but I don't blame Upwork at all... both time I released the money willingly.
I guess $500 is my limit 😁
You never know until you give them a chance to do the job, right?
⚠ When someone is telling you to communicate with them outside the UpWork platform... Do not do it although it seems convenient (Whatsapp for example)
Do not do it because you have no way of showing them what this scammers conduct of business... and show/prof to UpWork the scam they ran on you.
I am embarrassed to even write this but people have to know so they don't fall for the same trap I did.
When you see something wrong in the beginning, do not hesitate to let them go right away... there are millions of honest people that need jobs and are willing to work.
