I started with game development, and for more than 1 year in this niche I programmed almost all the basic mechanics in all dimensions(for example: inventories, food indicators, primitive AI, main menu, settings). During this time, I acquired an obviously mathematical mindset - in any problem I began to see simply the instruction 1 2 3 4 5, do it and you’re done; if it’s not ready, then a new instruction is needed. After game development, I created a bot that conducts financial transactions in strict accordance with the embedded strategy + maintains your own accounting(built-in “trader’s diary”), in which all possible metrics and statistics are written. This bot could completely replace any trader, but provided that the strategy was completely devoid of intuition. Language – Python
In addition to the bot, I also worked a lot with software trading strategies (not only indicator ones, there were strategies via SMS in a telegram, according to data from coinglass). During that time, I probably just translated 90% of Internet strategies into my own code, which produces signals as stated in the technical specifications. I wrote not only in Pinescript, also in the form of python code that receives data through requests and calculates everything itself, outputting an SMS in a telegram with signals. Using this technology, I also created an “auto-backtest” - you enter a strategy into it, and at the output you get statistics on how it traded over the last x amount of time. Through this tool you could immediately understand which strategy is profitable and which is not, although entering strategies there is very problematic. To evaluate strategies, I wrote a function that receives X's for trades(format 0.9875, 1.033) and at the output it calculates the characteristics of trading and creates 60 iterations of simulations as if there were trading on such characteristics (time, risk to profit, number of transactions per day), which allows you to find out the exact income/loss of any strategy at any time distance if it stably maintains the characteristics at the same values(which is impossible, but at least you can calculate the range).
